It helps to include: your iPhone model, the iOS version, the app version (Settings → About), what you did, and what you expected to happen.
Common questions
- When do reminders arrive?
- At 9:00 AM local time on the due day, or the number of days before that you chose for the item. Only items with a repeat have a due day, so items set to "No repeat" never remind.
- I don't get reminders.
- Check that notifications are allowed for Been a While in iOS Settings, and that the item has a repeat and a reminder other than "None" (open the item, tap the more button, Edit). Reminders are never sent for days that have already passed.
- Does the app sync or need an account?
- No. There is no account and no cloud. Everything is stored on your phone only.
- How do I move my data to a new phone?
- On the old phone: Settings → Data and reset → Save a backup, and keep the file (Files, AirDrop, mail to yourself). On the new phone: on the welcome screen tap Restore from backup, or later Settings → Data and reset → Restore from backup. Restoring replaces everything on the phone with the backup.
- What is "Export history as CSV"?
- A spreadsheet file of every completion. It is for your own use and cannot be restored into the app.
- How do I delete my data?
- Settings → Data and reset → Reset all data, or delete the app. Nothing is kept anywhere else.
- What does "I don't remember" do?
- The item is tracked from today without a made-up date. The first time you mark it done, that day becomes its last-done date.
